“Mourinho’s deal to United is done” – Ex-Chelsea boss set to join Old Trafford
According to Liverpool great
Phil Thompson, Jose Mourinho’s move to Man United is a done deal and
Portuguese manager will join the Red Devils in summer.
Ex-Chelsea boss has been linked with Man United since leaving
Stamford Bridge back in December and reportedly has a verbal agreement
to replace Louis van Gaal.
As per the Starspor, Jose Mourinho would be offered a £300m transfer kitty if he takes charge at Old Trafford. However, Thompson believes Van Gaal
deserves to see out the final season of his contract if he wins the FA
Cup and secures a top-four finish.During the interview Thompson said:
“If you’re asking my honest opinion, then I think the deal is already
done.Want More? Man United’s £39m incredible star demanded by Paris Saint-Germain
“There’s been a lot in the papers and United have a very close relationship with Jorge Mendes, Mourinho’s super agent.
“There’s also been the talk that they’re still harbouring the idea of
bringing back Cristiano Ronaldo, who also has Mendes as his agent, so
Mourinho coming in could sway that.
“If Van Gaal did win the FA Cup and finish in the top four, then my
option is that he should get the other year, but I think it would be
extremely difficult for United to go back on an agreement because
Mourinho isn’t the sort of guy that waits around.”
Incoming Chelsea manager set to agree deal for Brazilian star
Serie A champions Juventus are ready to meet with Chelsea representatives to discuses Brazilian Playmaker Oscar’s future.
Italian manager Massimiliano Allegri has long been an admirer of the
Brazilian international, and is keen to finally land him this summer.
After only being a bit part player in Chelsea’s season, Oscar could be
heading for an exit from the London side, with Italian
champions Juventus interested in the player.
The attacking midfielder, who has scored eight goals this season, has
long been linked with a move to Turin as the Bianconeri continue their
chase for a No.10.
Oscar was a key part of the Chelsea side that eased to the Premier
League title last year, but has struggled under interim manager Guus
Hiddink this season and would be open to a move away.
According to the Daily Star, Massimiliano Allegri remains a fan of
the Brazilian international and is hopeful of bringing him to Turin as
part of a summer overhaul.
In order to get Oscar, the Bianconeri may forego making Juan
Cuadrado’s move permanent, as he has been on loan at Juve this season
from Chelsea.
It could be a tricky deal to get over the line for Juventus though,
with Oscar in line to play in both the Copa America and the Olympics
this summer for Brazil.
Arsene Wenger: This 'unbelievable' player will start next season as Arsenal's No.1 striker
ARSENE WENGER has claimed Olivier Giroud will start next season as Arsenal's first-choice striker.
Giroud, 29, has been frequently criticised by a number of Gooners for his inconsistent strike rate.
The France international went an incredible 15 games without a Premier League goal before netting against Manchester City earlier this month.
He then hit a hat-trick in the 4-0 win against rock-bottom Aston Villa to finish the season with 16 goals.
Arsenal have been linked with a host of strikers to replace Giroud.
But Wenger is set to give him another chance.
When asked if Giroud would start next season as Arsenal's No.1 striker, Wenger told the BBC: "Yes.
" I believe that Danny Welbeck being out now for a long, long time we will be on the road to look for one more striker.
"After that it's down to compete. Olivier has strong and weak moments so we have to deal with that.
"He is a bit unbelievable - he is in cycles. He scores in spells and then sometimes he scores less."
Deal Done: Liverpool set to sign this world class forward by making him the team’s highest paid player
Jurgen Klopp's side are closing in on
signing World Cup winning superstar Mario Gotze, with The Daily Express
confirming that the new incoming Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti has already
sanctioned the 23-year-old superstar's move away from the Allianz
Arena.
The Reds have been tagged as the
favorites to sign the former Borussia Dortmund man, who is on top of
Klopp's wish list for this summer.
The report
further adds that Gotze had also made enquiries about life at the
Merseyside, which could be a clear hin that he is planning to join the
Premier League giants in the near future. However, the most important
part is that the club want to make him one of their highest paid stars,
if he does decide to make the move.
After confirming the signing of Grujic
and Matip, Gotze could become Klopp’s 3rd signing, with the German boss
quite keen on strengthening his current squad prior to the start of the
new campaign. As per how things stand now, it
seems that a deal could go through prior to the start of the Euros.
Gotze has just 12 months remaining on his current contract after he had
signed a 4-year deal when he made the move from Dortmund in 2013. He
will be available for a fee of around £20m, with the Bundesliga
champions looking to cash in on him.
Gotze was not played much by Pep
Guardiola, which has made him quite unhappy and he wishes to leave. It
will be interesting to see whether the Kop boss can now take advantage
of that or not.
Ron-Robert Zieler open to rejoining Manchester United
Former Manchester United keeper Ron-Robert Zieler has claimed that he is open to the idea of playing for the Old Trafford outfit once again.
The 27-year-old German international was a Manchester United academy
graduate and is linked with a move away from the Bundesliga this summer. Premier League giants Liverpool and Manchester City are also interested in the reliable German, but it is clear that he prefers a return to Old Trafford.
Manchester United star David De Gea has been linked with a move away
from Old Trafford this summer and if he decides to leave, Zieler could
be a useful addition to Louis Van Gaal’s side.
Zieler wants to leave his current club Hannover 96 after they were relegated from the Bundesliga this season.
“The time at United helped me a lot in my development, personally and as a football player,” he said.
“Today I can say for sure: I would always decide to go there again.
“Nothing has been decided yet [on his future]. There are several offers. I will listen to all of them and then decide.”
Although Manchester United have Sergio Romero, Zieler would be a much
better addition to the club. The German is comfortably better than
Romero and would be available at a fairly reasonable price as well.
Stats: 10 best dribblers in Europe in the 2015/16 season
Neymar and Messi make the top 10 but neither were the best in Europe this seasonBarcelona’s Neymar and Lionel Messi make the top 10
As
yet another season in Europe draws to a close, some champions have
already been crowned while a couple of other leagues may still see the
title race go down to the final day.
This season saw a few players
revive their career while others have maintained their stranglehold at
the top with consistent performances. While the usual suspects have led
the goalscoring charts, the same is not the case with the best dribblers
in Europe.
There’s no surprise that younger, faster players are
at the top of the list. What is remarkable, though, is that the top
three are all from Ligue 1. 22-year-old Sofiane Boufal of
Lille leads the way in Europe, averaging 4.4 successful dribbles per
game in the league. The young forward who generally plays on the left
but can play across the front three has made 127 successful dribbles in
29 matches. Hatem Ben Arfa
has reclaimed the reputation he once lost after a failed transfer and
actually leads the continent with the most dribbles completed . But
having played more game than the first player, his average comes
down to 4.4 per game. The French midfielder has recently been linked with Barcelona after having had “advanced talks”.
Barcelona’s Neymar makes the list but only in third place – the only other player to average more than 4 dribbles per game. His teammate Lionel Messi comes in sixth with Ousmane Dembele, the teenage sensation at Rennes, has been rumoured to be linked with all top clubs including Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund. Dembele who recently signed with dortmund in fourth having averaged 4.1 dribbles per game .23-year-old Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha comes fifth with 3.7/game and leads the EPL
Leicester City’s star winger and PFA Player of the Year Riyad Mahrez
only makes it to joint-eighth alongside Palermo’s Franco Vazquez – the
only two player who single-handedly represents his league on this list.
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich’s wingers Kingsley Coman and Douglas Costa also make the top 10.
